This
client wanted us to improve the user experience design specifically where it would lead to greater revenue: chat, search results, the home screen, and
the photo upload screen. They wanted these to fit into the product's existing visual design. We created mockups of these new designs in HTML
and Photoshop. The client also asked us to create Photoshop mockups of how the product's home page might evolve over time - a look at the company's possible
future design. For this work, we created our own visual design.

BEFORE (Thumbnail above)
We began the project by tackling the user experience for Chat. With unclear focus and lots of clutter, it left little room for the actual chat, and lots of room for confusion.
AFTER
The new design loaded more quickly, had fewer distractions, and provided an immediate boost in revenue. (This work used the product's existing visual design).

BEFORE
The user interface for managing User Profiles supported what "heavy" users of dating sites needed, but failed to be easy enough for "light" users who needed fewer features.

AFTER
We redesigned the user experience by breaking the user's work into two discrete actions: first upload the photos, then associate the photos with the appropriate profile. (This work used the product's existing visual design).

BEFORE
The old user experience scattered the controls in a way that distracted users from the information without guiding them.

AFTER
The redesigned user experience groups related controls together and provides more room for descriptive information-all while being more readable. (This work used the product's existing visual design).

BEFORE
The original user experience for the home page was the same for first time visitors and for "heavy" users who had been using the dating service for months.
Notice how your attention is pulled all over the place?

AFTER
A mockup of the user experience for a first time user. The site already knows the user's demographic-the challenge is to get him to become a member. (This work used the our visual design).

AFTER
A mockup of the user experience for a registered user is geared to helping him find his next match.
The featured profiles already match his most recently entered criteria. (This work used the our visual design).

AFTER
This mockup of the user experience for "heavy" users of the web application provides a "dating dashboard"-complete with his personal message board, profiles of other members he's been communicating with, a hotlist and a snapshot of his profile. (This work used the our visual design).
