We have had clients call us during the last weeks before shipping a product to clean up screens, organize controls, revamp artwork, and fix wording and error messages. If this is the type of work you're interested in, then read no further and jump right to our makeover section.
We also have clients that are still determining early requirements. We help them finalize their requirements with user research, focus groups and competitive analysis.
For clients that have already completed this work, we take the requirements and turn them into mockups in Photoshop, PowerPoint, Visual Basic, Visio and/or HTML, working closely with the engineers to create conceptual designs that meet the requirements, yet are realistic to build while still being remarkably usable, useful, and elegant. You might want to read more about our demos.
We'll start with whatever work you've already put into place and build a complete design for the whole product. We create wire frames and mockups, review them with your team and your users, and make changes.
Wash. Rinse. Repeat - It's how all great design work is done!
When the wireframes are done, we can create a user Interface Specification or Style Guide. If we're working with you on a web application, we can build out templates or the actual pages in HTML and CSS to get your engineering team moving.
Many
clients find themselves in the midst of an increasingly complicated user interface.
They bring us in to make sense of the application, reorganize key components
and fix usability flaws while leaving much of the underlying structure untouched.
We can substantially improve the visual appearance, too, adding new power and excitement to a tired design.
It is not uncommon to have key players in these project teams who are unsure of what we can contribute to the development process, but our diverse experience and compelling designs have yet to pass by a reviewer's eyes without winning substantial respect. There are examples of our design work in our portfolio. As you look for the right consultant for your project, you will run across many different types of designers - our who we are section discusses what it is that makes us different.
As you can imagine, cost varies widely. We've made substantial improvements in some products on budgets of as little as $3,500. Some projects cost more. We will probably cost less than you think. One of our favorite quotes from a client is "This work is great! You should be charging your (other) clients more!"
We love what we do and it shows.
